I completely re-edited this after conversations with tattoo artists and after staring at it for hours.. lol. . i actuallly completely started over, and Im quite happy with it! what do you guys think??
------- So.. after a lot of thought, and looking through tons and tons of ideas for a chest piece of my own, I decided to do something a bit different for myself..
I was raised on video games.. I had a tv in my room at 7, NES, SNES, Gameboy, Sega, Dreamcast, 64, Playstation.. all when they came out!! I used to watch my brother play for hours, until I found the games that I could play.. Im not the best at high action games, but the ones I cant play, I watch!! ^_^
Soo.. I put this together as a tribute to my favorite video games, and I hope to get this tattooed on my chest soon! (it probably wont be soon.. due to money.. but we'll see! )
Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Mario (nes, snes, 64 and beyond), Resident Evil!! (especially 1, 2, Code Veronic X, and 4) and of course.. the always Epic ZELDA!! and not just the 64 version, the old school gameboy and NES versions too I even had the SNES Gameboy hookup so you could change the gameboy colors (that puke green and black) to monotone colors! LOL it was the shit then..
And as a side note I did edit each individual piece, I changed their texture so they would all share the same type of vector-like shading, if you want to see detail, download it! the file is ginormous!
Advisory!!!! These characters are NOT my own! they are owned by Capcom, Squaresoft, Nintendo and others I cant think of and cant be bothered to find..
This is really an awesome piece. I really like the mushrooms and Stars members. I havent ever seen any art like this from u before, keep up the good work.
I know it's awesome but... reeeeeeaally think some more about getting this done... I know I have nothing to do with it and that I'm also considering inking my body but you really have to love the tattoo not just what it means. Think of it like a t-shirt that you'll wear forever. Do you still like those 90's t-shirts you wore?
hahah actually.. yes.. Ive had the same favorite band since I was 8 years old.. Same favorite color since I was 6.. my favorite food too.. lol XD Im the type of person that I KNOW what I like, and it tends to stick. And I want my tattoos to reflect the life I lead, the choices I make, the things I enjoy! Video Games have been a part of my life since I was a child, and they are DEFINITELY not going away.. I've been sketching out ideas for about a year now, and I'm actually really happy with how this turned out, Im still fine-tuning it though, and considering vectoring over it to give it a cleaner, more unified feel. The tattoo artist itself is going to be an interview process, and I will go through a few more stages before its complete..
But I plan to be covered in art! I want rainbows all over my body, and Im not just jumping head first into it, im planning it out!
Im also learning how to tattoo, so Im going to have a leg (my right) as a 'scratch' leg, the leg i will practice on myself to learn, of course it will be above the skirt line, but Im not really afraid to scar my body/change it. Scars, tattoos, piercings, they are like a physical story of your life, whether or not I do/love the same things, they were and always will be a part of me! Thats one of the main reasons I got my wedding rings tattooed on! [link]
And actually.. yes I do still like the 90s shirts I wore.. I wish I still had my vintage my little pony/TMNT/care bears shirts.. I still wear some of the same clothes that I wore throughout high school! LOL
